As a requirement of a class I had to create a company of my own.
After creating a target market I built a business around my passions. I created Revive as an event design and event rental company to provide personalized experiences. I wanted to emphasize minimizing waste to obtain a more sustainable approach to events. As a passion of my own I love repurposing items that many individuals may consider unusable, so I wanted this to be a key feature to Revive. Desert Threads is a unique shopping experience that allows boutiques and brands to showcase their products for clients of all ages in the LA and surrounding areas. I created all aspects of the event that are needed to put on the event. A target market, timeline, work list, budget, event entertainment, food and beverage, event layout, save the date, and all details to ensure a smooth sailing event.
Attached is a document detailing the event While working for Brandy Melville I gained experience in Visual Merchandising. As a part of my role in the company It was my responsibility to update the store's merchandise weekly to reflect the new shipment and catch the customer's eye.
My responsibilities included rearranging table displays and building up the table to display clothing and mannequins. Each year the students of the Recreation, Hospitality and Parks Management department plans and creates a gourmet dinner with live entertainment and silent auction.
As a student of the Event Management option my role in planning the event was as Publicity and Marketing chair. In this role I was in charge of creating a invitations and save the dates, updating and revamping our website, marketing the event, delegating tasks, and working with other committees to ensure the perfect event.
