about me
I have always had an eye for design and a passion for creativity. Throughout my college career, majoring in Event Management, you could find me at local thrift stores or in my creative space coming up with different ways to reinvent everything I found. I utilized my free time to repurpose used clothing, jars, furniture, nature and any items I could get my hands on. Reinventing items instead of throwing them away is a focus for my pieces because we need to move towards a sustainable world. I like to stay current on trends to encompass the style in pieces I make. Being able to express myself through my pieces is something I value and take pride in. I hold importance to the ability to express my creativity in the workplace. I hope to bring my creativity into my career through design, customization, and inspiration.
My college career has taken me all over; through different cities and states, as well as different majors. My career started in Psychology and throughout my education, I decided I wanted to do something more, I wanted to influence and inspire joyful moments with people and for people. That’s what lead me to Event Management in the Recreation, Hospitality, and Parks Management department. My love for psychology was not lost, I earned an AA and a Minor in Psychology. Event Management has given me the tools to work closely with people to accomplish their event goals as well as use my creativity to produce an event on my own. Exploration is not limited to the classroom and my creations; I love to travel to new places. When I have the opportunity to get away and enjoy nature I like to take it. Among the many road trips and foreign countries, I have found inspiration as well as a love for exposure to something new. Not only do I get to enjoy the outdoors but I get to use my planning skills to design the perfect route without leaving anything out. I hope to explore even more of our beautiful planet and uncover more to be inspired by. |
